We had a wonderful time staying at this old house. The house is estimated to be more than one hundred years old. It has three stories and a basement. As a guest, you will get to stay on the ground floor, where there are two rooms, a kitchen, and a bathroom. There's a library in one of the rooms.You can find all the amenities that you are after in the kitchen. Of course, you can buy what you need from the Rewe supermarket right opposite the house.The owner, Mo, is very friendly. He has excellent knowledge of art and philosophy, in case you feel like having a good chat with him. He's also a savvy guy in recycling the rubbish. We learned a lot from him during our short stay.You don't have access to the basement and top floors as a guest. Upon asking permission, you may use the yard. It was great to lay down on a beach chair and snooze in the summer.Mo also has a public library that he takes to the street daily. Adults and kids come over and borrow books from there. Over the years, various people have added many books to this small library. What a lovely idea!All in all, this place is worth a visit if you are going to Cologne and want to spend some relaxing time outside of downtown.
