Great space, very friendly peoples and awesome Coach. Alex is very dedicated and has good technical knowledge. I think Alex has pretty unique teaching abilitys and goes very deep into details. Fantastic gym! The vibe is very friendly. Alex is extremely dedicated instructor. The training he is giving are very diverse and adjusted to people attributes. He can attract various types of people - those who just look for the recreation and also the competitors. He can easily explain very sophisticated techniques in the easy way to more experienced practitioners as well as the basics to the newcomers.

I've trained jiu jitsu for over 12 years and Alex is one of the best jiu jitsu coaches I've ever trained with. He's a true student of the sport, which unfortunately is not the case for all jiu jitsu coaches. He genuinely cares about the progress of his students and his class structure shows that - lots of positional drilling, personal coaching and sparring. If you're a beginner, then Alex will get you good fast. If you're intermediate or advanced, he'll give you the tweaks needed to take your game to the next level. His classes are well-structured and he's consistently tweaking things to make them better and better. Most importantly, he's a fun guy. The atmosphere is light-hearted, focused on improvement and having fun.If you're looking for jiu jitsu in Potsdam, then this is the place to go.

Ich war letzte Woche das erste Mal bei der Open Mat. Cooles Gym und tolle Community. Mit Alex trainiere ich schon eine ganze Zeit lang. Er ist ein extrem guter Trainer der einem nicht nur einzelne Techniken sondern ganze Konzepte und Prinzipien vermitteln kann. Ganz klare Emfehlung!

Great Jiu Jitsu, great people and hard but fun training in a really picturesque town! Alex is very professional and highly skilled, and you can tell that he is a person who loves the art and is constantly studying and learning to evolve and improve even further (both as a Jiu Jitsu practitioner and as a coach). His style of teaching is straight forward and friendly, he manages to break down techniques and concepts in a very clear way that is memorable, valuable and immediately applicable for people of all levels. The classes are very well structured with a healthy dose of positional sparring that really helps to fix" the techniques in your brain and muscle memory.Also their Saturday open mat attracts a good crew of jiu jitsu players with a good technical level.
