Holiday Inn Frankfurt Airport, an IHG Hotel

A nice hotel very close to Frankfurt airport. The room is quite spacious. Bed is comfortable. Normal things you can expect from a Holiday Inn. The staffs were very friendly both at the lobby and in their restaurants. There is a shuttle bus service to and from airport. The cost for going to the airport from hotel is 6 euro, but it is free for IHG reward member which is also free to sign up. There are a few restaurants and a supermarket within about 5 minutes walk. Very convenient.

Literally found bed bugs but I was not aware what they were, thought they might be from outside as the window was open when we arrived. Turns out I wake up around 4am full of bites. I cannot sleep and I tell reception. They say it is not possible, I show them videos and pictures, they send cleaning staff and they confirm it is true, more than 7 or 8 found, all of them grown up bedbugs. Hotel staff assured we brought them into the hotel. I just landed there, with the whole grown family of bed bugs, sure.Reception refused to believe us, it was our fault apparently. I wrote and email to the hotel in hopes to find the manager or someone facing the problem. No reply whatsoever, it was almost a year ago.Do not put your feet into this hotel I warn you about it. Bedbugs are incredible annoying, it can happens but pointing the customer it just feels so sad.

The room had a few small flaws (likely due to simple accidents, and not lack of attention,) but it was comfortable and clean and had everything necessary for myself and my friend. The front desk staff were cheerful and helpful, and the shuttle service was so valuable. There are many shops and restaurants within a short walking distance. Overall, I was so thankful to book this hotel before flying home.
