As previously posted, Only Vintage Watches (OVW) serviced and repaired my Seiko (7434-7000) Moonphase watch. Unfortunately, it incurred a further, unrelated, malfunction some 12 months later. Stopped running and died overnight. As the watch is about 45 years old, I supposed it, again, to be the end of its useful life. I contacted OVW, discussed some potential failure modes, and OVW kindly accepted it for examination.Upon receipt, OVW inspected it and advised the crystal oscillator, a solid-state device, was irreparably burned out. Fortunately, OVW confirmed it could be replaced using an OEM part from in-house spares. We agreed to proceed and, one week later, OVW confirmed my watch fully restored and tested. OVW return-shipped it to me within three weeks of receipt.This second repair is another tribute to OVW expertise. I commend them to any owner of a problematic Seiko watch. I sent George my 1970 Seiko Skyliner (6102A) which had suddenly stopped working. It turned out that a few teeth of the center wheel had broken off. George fixed the problem and did a whole service. Since then it has been running perfectly! George was also really nice in our interactions and went out of his way with answering all my questions in great detail and providing great advice. Thanks! Seitdem läuft meine Uhr sehr genau! George war außerdem sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Er hat alle meine Frage sehr detailliert beantwortet und mir viele gute Ratschläge zu meiner Uhr gegeben. Danke! I am totally satisfied with the service and personally very glad that Mr Clarkson fixed this watch! It looks just like before Seiko service messed it up bad, back to its former glory. He took great care in sourcing the parts and repairing the damage that was done to it.The glass shows no visible difference (I would not have guessed it was replaced had he not told me). I would totally recommend OnlyVintageWatches to any other watch lover that wants a vintage quartz fixed.

Excellent service repairing my late father’s vintage Seiko 7A28-7030.George quickly assessed the watch sending detailed images of the problems that were caused by water ingress.The repair did take some time but it was worth the wait and communication was clear and quick.The watch now works flawlessly and is one of my favourite watches. I’d trust George with another watch and it’s worth remembering that Seiko Service centres and most traditional watch repairers will not work on old Seiko quartz watches.

Sparen Sie sich den Ärger und Aufwand und bringen sie ihre Uhr einem anderen Uhrmacher. Wenn ich könnte, würde ich hier 0 Sterne vergeben.Nachdem meine erste Anfrage im November 2021 zeitnah beantwortet wurde und ich daraufhin meine Uhr eingeschickt und die Wartung im Voraus bezahlt habe, verlief die weitere Kommunikation fürchterlich.E-Mails wurden monatelang nicht beantwortet und versprochene Dienstleistungen (wie z.B. ich dokumentiere meine Arbeit mit Fotos und schicke sie ihnen) nicht erbracht.Meine E-Mails wurden erst beantwortet, nachdem ich bei PayPal einen Streitfall eröffnete habe (nachdem über 3 Monate lang keine Reaktionen auf meine Anfragen kam) und die Antwort erfolgte in einem anklagenden Tonfall, als hätte ich Herrn Clarkson monatelang ignoriert und nicht andersrum.Um Paypal zu beschwichtigen und mein im Voraus bezahltes Geld behalten zu können, hat Herr Clarkson mir vor wenigen Tagen eine m.E. nicht oder schlecht reparierte Uhr zurückgeschickt an der der Handaufzug nicht funktioniert und heute der Chronographendrücker rausgefallen ist (ohne äußere Einwirkung).Selbst wenn es eine Garantie auf die Wartung"geben sollte

Ich hatte meinen Sony Sports 100 Chronographen defekt seit über 20 Jahren, eigentlich nur noch aus Sentimentalität, in der Schublade liegen. Bis ich bei einer Internetsuche auf ein Youtube Video stieß, dass Herrn Clarkson beim Zerlegen genau meiner Uhr zeigte! Da war mir klar, die Uhr geht nach Berlin. Es hat gedauert durch Krankheit, Corona, und die Suche nach raren Ersatzteilen, aber jetzt habe ich sie wieder.Und was soll ich sagen: sie läuft wie neu, und sie sieht mit einem neuen Glas wieder ganz fantastisch aus!Vielen Dank, HerrClarkson, und eine ganz dicke Empfehlung für Ihren Service als Retter wertvoller Uhren.

Was soll ich sagen: KEINER, inklusive Uhrmacher in HH oder Seiko etc. konnten (oder wollten) meine schöne und offensichtlich seltene Uhr reparieren….SIE HABEN ES GESCHAFFT - perfektes Aussehen -wie neu - großartig, ein wirkliches Andenken an meinen 65-sten Geburtstag…. man muss geduldig sein, wenn es absolut keine Ersatzteile mehr gibt, so haben wir dann in ca. 3 Monaten alles perfekt hinbekommen. Gut Ding braucht eben Weile – und viel Geduld, gepaart mit Fachwissen…Nochmals VIELEN DANK – 39 Jahre – und die Uhr lebt weiter…Dieser Kollege Mr. Clarkson ist absolut zu empfehlen - gerade Spezialfälle!Ahoi aus HH + VG Wolfgang T.

I had my vintage Tudor Prince Oysterdate ‘Jumbo’ for service. Results turned out great. The watch got cleaned up (but not polished) and runs pretty well. Thank you George Clarkson.
