Department of Animal Science

The Department of Animal Sciences deals with all aspects of husbandry, nutrition, breeding and hygiene of farm animals, including aquaculture. The research approaches range from application-oriented work, based on experiments or field studies in commercial farms, to molecular biological research. The objective of research is to contribute through innovative research approaches mean that products of animal origin can be produced are of excellent quality and product safety through effective, resource-efficient and animal-friendly production methods.
