I wanted to check this place out per a NYT article's recommendations on things to do in Berlin. Unfortunately didn't make it far beyond the entrance as the bar was fairly full even on this Monday night. The bartender wasn't particularly welcoming, when I asked if I could sit at the bar, he pushed the reservation sign at the seat I was pointing at towards me from what I remember... point taken that yes there was a reservation sign but I just wanted to check since I wasn't sure... perhaps I was perceived as rude since I asked in English, or coz I wasn't local and didn't know, or may be that's in keeping with the vibe of the bar, no idea. Obviously can't comment on the drinks, but yep, there was no effort made to accommodate me, though I also didn't ask. Oh well, too bad.

Very rude staff. They literally placed the reservation sign on the table in front of us.The staff and some regular customers are really not friendly and in some cases even aggressive to english speaking people. You will not feel save and friendly in there.Usually do not leave comments, but this one I could not ignore.

A cosy and comfortable bar, good with close friends & couples meetings. They provide wi-fi as well. Possible to smoke inside. Political view is also good and makes you feel you choose the right place.

Gemütliche Kneipe wo man auch draussen sitzen und das Kiezleben beobachten kann. Leider eine Raucherbar, sodass die Kleider nach dem Besuch ab in die Wäsche müssen.

War letzten Montag da mit meiner Freundin. Nur alte Säcke die denken sie wären wichtig. Bei aller Macht der Zug ist abgefahren. Der Bar Mann war sehr nett, wenn auch größtenteils oberflächlich und umsatzorientiert. Familiäre Atmosphäre sucht man dort vergebens. Eher was für Nostalgiker aus längst vergangenen Zeiten. Der Laden stirbt wenn es so weitergeht. Wie gesagt, bar war OK aber in letzter Zeit oft leer aufgrund fehlendem Zeitgeist.

Man kann einfach nicht atmen hier drinnen... Ich weiss in berlin ist es leider erlaubt, aber dann bitte ein gutes Ventilationssystem installieren...
