HYPERION Hotel Dresden am Schloss

Good location, nice room, bar staff very friendly. Staff at reception not helpful need lots of training on customer service. My wife had a reservation for a massage in the spa and went to reception to ask if they could cancel as she was not feeling well, one of the staff told her to go down and cancel herself. I have been working in hotels and cruises around the world for over 30 years. This is a no no, you always help a hotel guest. Also we asked if they could book some experiences for us but a young staff member told us that only the concierge makes reservations and he/she was off for a few days, another no no. On the train back home my wife realised that she left a shirt in the wardrobe at the hotel called right away and spoke with someone at reception, they told us don't worry we'll take care of it and email you as soon as we get some news. The day after they emailed and told us that nothing was found. We called again and spoke with the concierge this time but we never got an answer back yet, more than one week later. We know 100% that the shirt was there. My only conclusion is that someone took it. Really poor performance for a 5 star hotel.Breakfast:Good selection for breakfast. There are few negatives, the very overcooked scrambled eggs at the buffet and on Easter Sunday breakfast was until 12am but at 10am they started to clean the buffet in the second room, why doing so if the room was still full and 2 hour to 12?

Friendly and helpful staff, good beds, delicious breakfast.However, the bathroom in the bedroom was awful - glass doors and walls. The door made a small but noticeable noise when opened or shut (an issue when used when others are asleep). You can hear everything a person does inside, which is even more noticeable at night, especially if you turn the light on in the bathroom area as it lights up the whole bedroom area. Sink positioned at a busy junction in the room, so it gets awkward. Awful design...

sehr schöne Lage. Sehr schöne, große und geräumige Zimmer. Schönes, gepflegtes Hotel mit freundlichem Personal. Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber. Es sieht sehr einladend aus und auch die Preise liegen im normalen Bereich. Die Tiefgarage befindet sich in unmittelbarer Nähe. Wir sind noch im Hotel und morgen erzähle ich euch vom Frühstück.

Cleanliness of the room, carpet and pillows disappointed. Executive lounge was basic with noisy equipment. Excellent breakfast. Top location. Nice sauna & fitness.

Das Hotel ist gut. Besser sein könnten nur die Betten (derzeit eine Matratze für Doppelbetten, dreht sich der eine, hüpft die andere, zu kleine Kissen und eine gemeinsame Decke). Dies ist für den Zweck eines Hotels allerdings nicht unwichtig. Die Lage ist sehr zentral, was jedoch den Nachteil hat, viertelstündlich Glockengeläut zu hören - auch nachts bei geschlossenen Fenstern.

Als erstes muss man sagen das es zentral gelegen ist, und man sehr viel zu Fuß erreicht. Leider war es das mit positiven Sachen irgendwie. Als wir ankamen wirkte der Mitarbeiter kühl. Das Zimmer hat sehr hohe Decken, es hallt. Das Bett war garnicht unseres. Hat sich einer bewegt, ist der andere fast herunter gefallen. Zu dem war der Fußboden und die Gardine dreckig. Ich habe extra Bilder gemacht. Leider hat das bei der Abreise niemand interessiert. Zumal das Parken in der Tiefgarage für 28€ für 24h schon echt teuer ist. Das empfinden wir.Schade, es war ein kleiner Urlaub zum Hochzeitstag

Although I only had a short stay there, I felt comfortable. For a hotel of this size and location, it's quite peaceful. It's located right in the city center. The Frauenkirche is only a few minutes' walk away! It may not be easy for drivers, but it's doable. There are plenty of parking garages in the area.I liked the building itself. It has a spacious staircase and an atrium that serves as a terrace connected to the buffet area.My room is extremely spacious and has an unusual layout. The shower and toilet are in separate cabins, forming an island in the middle of the room. The sink is located in front of the cabins, on the back wall of the exceptionally large bed. There is a minibar and a small capsule coffee machine (which makes sustainable traveling in the morning a bit challenging ;)). The hotel also has a spa area, which I couldn't use due to the shortness of time.However, I had the chance to experience the hotel bar at night, and even at a late hour, we were kindly served delicious cocktails.The breakfast buffet was very diverse, and I enjoyed a really good breakfast in the open air. The staff was very friendly and discreet.Since I didn't pay for the accommodation, I can't say much about the value for money. The prices I found online seem moderate for a hotel of this class. All in all, I would definitely love to stay there again.

Nachdem meine Tochter und ich wg plötzlicher Krankheit (Lebensmittelvergiftung) unsere Anreise um eine Woche verschieben mussten, blieb meine Anfrage bei der Buchungsstelle zunächst erfolglos, da ich ohne Option gebucht hatte, wurde letztendlich aber durch die Chefin sofort ermöglicht. Darüber sind wir unendlich dankbar und froh, da wir sehr viele unvergesse Momente erleben durften. Die zentrale Lage ist unbeschreiblich, sodass die 15 jährige zum Fotografieren auch alleine losziehen konnte. Parken direkt unterm Hotel, dadurch sofort mit Lift erreichbar. Freundlichkeit schon beim Empfang, überall sehr sauber und hell, das Frühstück lässt keine Wünsche offen, ganz ganz toll. Obwohl zentral war es durch wahrscheinlich sehr gute Isolierung unglaublich leise im Zimmer. Die Massage war die Krönung. Alles in allem sehr zu empfehlen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Das Zimmer war großzügig. Der Teppichboden ist eher unpraktisch. Es gibt kein eigenes Bad, Dusche und WC sind mit einer Schwingglastür vom Zimmer getrennt, also irgendwie offen. Ist zwar modern, muss man aber mögen. Leider funktionierte die Klimaanlage nicht, es war nachts fast unerträglich heiß. Ein echter Luftaustausch bei geöffnetem Fenster ging nicht, da die Altstadtatrassen aufgrund der Enge kaum zulassen. Das Ambiente des Hotels ist sehr schön, die Lobby und das Restaurant waren zumindest heruntergekühlt.Es wurde gesagt, dass die Klimaanlage häufig Probleme bereitet....Das war jetzt allerdings in kurzer Zeit das dritte Hotel, on dem die Klimaanlage nicht funktionierte. Wahrscheinlich ist Strom sparen angeordnet (bloße Vermutung).Ein schönes Hotel, tolle Lage, aber für mich keine 5 Sterne...

Schönes gepflegtes Hotel mit freundlichen Personal. Sehr schöne, große und geräumige Zimmer. Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber. Morgens reichhaltiges Frühstück, wo jede Menge angeboten wird. Für Abends kann man die Hauseigene Bar sehr empfehlen, sie lädt zum gemütlichen Zusammensein ein. Das angebotene SPA haben wir leider nicht benutzt, werden es aber beim nächsten mal nachholen. Es sieht sehr einladend aus und die Preise liegen auch im normalen Bereich. Die Tiefgarage ist direkt über den Fahrstuhl erreichbar. Alles in allem ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel.
