Die Dame am Empfang ist leider höchst unfreundlich und unkooperativ. Mietet euch lieber ein Auto an der Avis Station am Ostbahnhof, die Mitarbeiter dort sind wirklich sehr nett und hilfsbereit.

We were very worried about renting the car. We did it from Portugal, in the Portuguese website, and were afraid it would be difficult to pick up and use the car.The experience was very good. The car was cleaned, the collaborator could speak English with us and everything was fine.We are happy that we rented the car and very happy with the price we pay :)

They cancel my reservation 2 hours before collection time. They said they had no car for rent. No interest, no effort to help.

Booked a car months in advance and 1 day (yes!!! One day) Before the rental day I got an email informing there are no vehicles available in the Munich area. I called and there was no answer, I went over and they close at 4 so missed them….Budget’s email very calmly just ruined our family road trip we’ve been planning for months without giving any options or more than a day’s notice….. the worst thing is that reading other reviews, this is not the first time this has happened. Shame on Budget!!!

We rented a car via third party website. We picked it up a little early with no problems. Everything was clearly explained by a very polite and informative member of staff. When we went to pick up the car, it wasn’t in the parking space we were told. We panicked and ran to the office as we knew it was closing and were reassured the car was there but just in another space. We went back to where the cars were and found it in 2 minutes. They gave us a €10 discount for the inconvenience, which we didn’t request or expect. Extremely friendly.

Travellers BEWARE, heed my warning and that of the other reviewers and do not trust this company to deliver on the reservations they take.We booked months in advance only to be told 2 days before that no cars are available. No offer of help or anything just a simple email stating that no cars are available.This was extremely distressing as half our holiday relied on this car. When we visited the station they could not care less and let us know that this happens all the time. Judging by the other reviews I can see this as being true.Ultimately we were able to get a car through another station but it was a lower class and they charged us more and were not willing to honor our original price. In fact they originally tried to charge us for a higher class of car. This was not corrected until I pointed it out. I am unsure whether this was fraudulent or incompetence. I suspect the later but it wouldn’t surprise me if the former given the already low ethics of this business.

This avis station has the friendliest and most helpful stuff we’ve met. Which you can’t take for granted when you rent a car from avis. We like to come back to this particular location because the staff goes above and beyond. No matter if there is a problem with a ticket when exiting the garage or something a different location messed up, the guys at Frauenstraße are accessible and actually help you straightforward. 5 stars in all categories and thank you very much!

Car was booked three months earlier and reservation was cancelled via email 2,5 days earlierbecause unfortunately there are no cars in Munich area" .This trick is causing a lot of issues

The worst car rental company ever! I rented a car at Munich airport, where I was charged €80 in advance for petrol.I returned the car in perfect condition, before the agreed deadline, and at the place of return, with a full tank!So I expected my €80 back, which as the contract says, I was supposed to get, which I DIDN'T! Instead they charged me €30 extra claiming I returned the car hours later. (I have videos that can PROVE the time I delivered the car, almost HALF AN HOUR BEFORE THE AGREEMENT).And to make this experience even worse, today more than a month later, they debited another €30 on my card, for no reason!I have sent several emails and tried to contact them by phone numerous times, and so far they have not resolved my problem or refunded my money. I will not give up, because this company has to pay me for its bad behavior!So if you are looking for a company to rent a stress-free car, GO FAR AWAY FROM AVIS!
