Great place to visit on a rainy day. A free museum that offers a combination of text and image (and video) to make people feel the reality that was the division between east and west. The view tower offers you a great city view, especially on the former wall.

Such a neat place to visit. You can go all the way up to the roof, where there is a spectacular view of the left part of the wall. It was so wonderful. You couldn't get that type of view in any other way. There's also a little museum in the basement with pictures, stories and videos. This was predominantly in German, but there was an English section, which is nice.

I enjoyed the list of documents and panels giving a thorough explanation of the events and feelings of the period. Videos of the end of the Cold War brought my memory back to my teenage years. The catalogue is very good as well

On the website, Buergerbuero Berlin states it is a citizen's office" founded to help victims of the SED regime under GDR dictatorship (East Germany). The ground floor houses a small museum

Nach dem Mauerbau wurde dieses Gebäude als Gemeindehaus für die Veröhnungsgemeinde errichtet. Die ursprüngöliche Kirche befand sich im Ostteil auf dem sog. Todestreifen und wurde 1988 gesprengt. An dieser Stelle wurde dann die Kapelle der Versöhnung errichtet
