This office was recommended by someone who had used their services before. I called to ask if they could translate two short pages from German to English, an attestation of residence and of workplace. Mr Strauch spoke quite poor English on the phone and was very vague as to when he is at his office and finally said he would be there 9 to 3 and asked me to call him when I have the documents. I asked if it would be possible to have them within 2 days and he said it would as these are short documents. I called as soon as I got my documents around 9 am on the day we agreed. He told me he was still home because he had to be at escweiler for a translation ar 11. How this prevents him from being at his office the time he said he would I could not understand and I agreed to meet him in the afternoon although I had to totally shift my schedule. When he informed me he is at his office I rushed there and had to wait for at least 15 minutes as he had other clients in. That was still ok and when I finally got to speak with him he gave me a different price for translating the document with and without receipt which I thought is inappropriate especially in Germany. He then told me he would have the documents ready on the next Monday (it was Wednesday) although he had told me on the phone he can do it in two days. When I remi ded him of what he had told me he said he could do it only if I was outside his office at 9 am on Friday. I told him this is not possible as I work too and he told me to take my documents and have them translated elsewhere! I actually left and found a translator who made an official translation of my documents in one working day and for half the price this office asked! If you are in need of an official translation just call your respective embassy and ask for someone they can recommend. You will be safer and not sorry you lost time or money....
