15.02.2023:Ein sehenswerter Platz in Baumkirchen. Umgeben von einem stimmungsvollen Friedhof ist es ein Ort der Ruhe und Besinnung. Viele alte Gräber in einer liebevoll gepflegten Anlage. Auch die Kirche ist einen Besuch wert. Angeblich spielt eine Episode von Bram Stokers Dracula hier auf dem Friedhof.Auf dem Gelände befinden sich auch Bienenstöcke.

Erhabene Kirche die wohl lt. Angaben der älteste Sakralbau (Kirche) im Münchener Stadtgebiet seien soll.Sehenswert, wenn auch abseits des Stadtzentrums gelegen.Zugegeben finde ich persönlich auch den Baumbestand, wenn auch übersichtlich, ebenfalls sehenswert.

I was surprised to find out this church is extremely old, dating to mediaeval times, and that it survived WWII. Some of the inscriptions on the graves in the church cemetery are interesting – several make it a point that an old lady buried in the grave was a “virgin” (Jungfrau). I am not sure they were really that (although they were obviously not married), but it seems that until 100 years ago this was considered information worth engraving on the gravestone…
