Sir Nikolai Hotel

It was impossible to get the room dark at night. The wardrobe light was constantly on. The light fixtures were too bright. To light the bathroom area you had to have all lights on. The shower leaked out and this was the entrance to the room. The extractor in the toilet didn’t work. The bed was comfortable, the staff very friendly and helpful and the location was very good but I’m not coming back.

Fine hotel in a very convenient location with easy access to Speicherstadt and all public transportation. Great breakfasts. Friendly, very helpful staff handled a small problem with safe in room quickly. Only oddity: that bathtub in the living area of our suite? We would have been much better served with a couch or love seat to sit on and enjoy the view ;)

Checking was easy-breathy, room - fantastic, big, light and well decorated. Bed was very comfortable. Mini bar well stocked. There was little marshal speaker in the room, so I could listen to my music while getting ready. Location was really central. I felt welcomed and at home there. Oh btw super cool bath robes!

Perfect walkable location to explore all that Hamburg has to offer. First impression was good, lobby is unique and comfortable looking. Unfortunately, after settling into the room,it seemed to be poorly maintained. Walls were full of marks and surfaces felt a bit dirty. The floors were dusty, including the minibar items on the counter. The biggest drawback for us was the dirty shower with mold. We brought it to the attention of the front desk but nothing happened. I don't think I've ever stayed in a more upscale hotel where the shower was in this condition.There are better places to stay in the area with a similar vibe, like the Pierdrei Hotel, so we will not be coming back.One last thing to take into consideration as a Marriott member, even though we are a Marriott Titanium member, we received no acknowledgement or any of the benefits commonly offered.

Zimmer und vor allen Dingen das mehr als vielfältige und reichhaltige Frühstück waren sehr gutEinziges Manko, das Parkhaus in einiger Entfernung. Das ist aber wohl der Lage des Hotels geschuldet. Die Lage des Hotels selbst ist sehr zentral. Man kanndie Landungsbrücken und die Elbphilharmonie gut zu Fuß erreichen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

I stayed one night. The reception area was very stylish and that continued all the way through the hotel. The receptionist (Alina) was so polite and very service minded, I felt welcomed straight away. The room was clean and very nice. It was a first time for me where the toilet and shower was in a closet look and the sink was in the same room as the bed. But it worked great and I loved the room. The breakfast was full of flavours, the cold serving was available and when you sat down a server came over to get your hot order (egg benedict, omelet, pancakes etc) that was really nice. Overall I loved it. There was only one thing that was a bit.. Yeah.. But only one little thing. When we checked in, we got two free drinks cards for the bar and on the cards there was a picture of a martini glas. Then when we came to the bar, the card wasn't for drinks, but for the complementary wine or beer. That was disappointing. Maybe change the picture on the card and then just call it complementary. But again, that was literally the only thing. I will come back for sure.

Das Hotel hält was es verspricht! Tolles, ruhiges Zimmer, das kompakt auf einem Raum alles bietet was man benötigt. Lustige Gadgets mit Bluetooth Lautsprecher am Zimmer und ein Auge fürs Detail! Aussicht sehr ansprechend! Das Personal und die Rezeption äußerst zuvorkommend! Sehr gerne wieder!

Superb location, very close to the central Rathaus area, the warehouse district (Speicherstadt), and other key places. The hotel is very modern, smart and stylish. Room fine, except the air conditioning which didn't go very cool and had a minimal air flow, so it got quite warm. Also, there was no actual door between the bedroom part and the bathroom area, and the shower had a glass door so it wouldn't be good for friends sharing the room. Breakfast was excellent, with a proper chef preparing the hot food, which was beautifully presented. We had a few minor issues around service... mostly excellent, but on a few occasions they seemed a bit officious, sticking to to strange house rules. For example, we were originally told the tea and coffee machines in the bar area were available at any time. But on using them one evening, the bar manager got very angry and agitated, insisting we had to pay. For the price of a tea bag, him making such a fuss like that left a bad impression. But overall, it's a smart, modern, comfortable hotel, in a great location for exploring Hamburg.

We had a wonderful stay in the Sir Nikolai! It is in a great location for seeing the city. The hotel is beautiful and the staff were so helpful and welcoming. Our room had a view of the canal and everything we could want. We loved the ille espresso maker and rainfall shower. The bed was comfortable and the linens were very nice. The automation in the room was very convenient as well so we could just push a button for anything we needed. The hotel bar and restaurant staff were so pleasant and friendly. Chef Michael was willing to do up anything we asked for at breakfast. We enjoyed the canal-view balcony off the bar in the afternoons. The dinner menu was a bit limited but we loved the chopped salad with grilled haloomi - that is a new favorite. We loved the Sir Nik!

Wir waren 3 Nächte dort und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Hotel an sich wirkt sehr luxuriös und sauber. Fast sogar schon eher in die maskuline Richtung, aber trotzdem sehr hübsch. Das Zimmer und das Bad waren sauber und wurden täglich aufgefrischt. Das Personal war sehr hilfsbereit, zuvorkommend und freundlich. Das Essen im Restaurant bzw. das Frühstück waren sehr lecker und ausgiebig. Die Gerichte morgens auf der Karte wurden frisch in der offenen Küche neben dem Buffett zubereitet. Sehr zu empfehlen!Vom Hotel aus konnten wir vieles innerhalb von 15-20min Fußweg erreichen und waren somit auch gut beschäftigt. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig gewesen, ebenso im Hotel selbst. Sehr angenehm :)
