I was at Max Planck institute for social anthropology in 2017 and 2019 as a guest scholar. It is one of the best schools for social anthropology, very professional staff and multi-national professors. Many of the administrative staff speak great English. The library is quite rich in the field of social anthropology. There is a feel of at home yet, in school. It is located at a walking distance from the city center, and to nearby park. Plenty of small bars and restaurants nearby.
