Great way to spend the day learning about Bavarian history! The tickets even included the audio guide which was a nice plus. Very affordable too!

Quite possibly the most elaborate castle I have been to yet. Compatible to the viewing Versailles. Only some is accessible but worth it. Breathtaking and audioguide was very informative. Bring earbuds with a cord. Hands free.

Antiquarium (Room 7) is a 66-metre long hall richly decorated room and a real highlight of the Residenz Museum. This is considered to be the most lavish Renaissance hall north of the Alps and reason enough to pay entry fee into Residence. The hall was built for Duke Albrecht V (1568-1571) for his collection of antique sculptures. Today you are able to view numerous busts and window decorated with over 100 views of towns, markets and palaces that existed during the 16th-century.For full on and unobstructed views of Antiquarium, best to visit first thing in the morning so that you can make your way here prior to crowds setting in.
