Super Dojo und super Sensei.

We found Sensei Thomas Podzelny at the beginning of the pandemic on Facebook and saw his online kobudo classes. My girlfriend and I live in Seattle, WA and decided to give it a try as our dojo was closed.Fast forward over 2 years later and we have traveled to Erlangen 3 times, spending about 3 weeks total in this dojo. This dojo is something very special. Inside the dojo is stunningly beautiful and has a very traditional feel. Sensei has a very strong understanding of Japanese culture and etiquette and often shares his experiences with his students in order to educate and enrich their practice.Just outside the dojo is a large and beautiful wheat field. The atmosphere is so serene, all day long you hear birds singing and it’s the perfect environment to lose yourself in your training.This dojo has come to be such a special place for my girlfriend and I, and we always look forward to coming back and training.Thomas is an amazingly gifted Sensei and teacher. He is so patient and passionate about his arts (karate, kobudo and aikido). He leads every class himself and has an incredible amount of energy and enthusiasm.His students are also amazing! To me this says a lot because you can see how technically proficient his long time students are.If you live in Erlangen, or anywhere nearby, look nowhere else! This man is the real thing. Super Dojo mit sehr kompetentem und freundlichen Sensei!!Ich bin seit ca. 9 Jahren dabei und geh immer noch gerne regelmäßig zum Training.Auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen, wenn man traditionelle Kampfkunst lernen will.

The coronavirus pandemic has definitely changed the way we approach our daily lives. One of the best thing that has happened was to meet Thomas Sensei who allowed me to combine karate’s and kobudo’s training.After 2 years of online training, I was finally able to visit this beautiful Dojo. It is located in a very quiet country area.Sensei Thomas and his students are special people who always make you feel at home.There is an ideal atmosphere in the Dojo to work on your body and mind practicing traditional martial arts such as Okinawa Karate and Kobudo.I look forward to come back.

My son never skip the class, he fall in love with karate bcoz of the master, wonderful master, friendly learning, quality teaching, lots of improvement physically and mentally.. highly recommended
