Goethe-Institut Frankfurt Sprachschule Deutschkurse

Had a very bad experience when visited this Goethe Institut center in Frankfurt. Firstly this is a language school and the receptionist was not at all accommodative and spoke only in German which was difficult to understand. As this is sort of office sharing space hence I asked for a Goethe Institut official, which they denied and said to only call the number and visit website. Upon insisting multiple times she called a representative from Goethe Institute. Even this lady representative was not accommodative and spoke only in German, when I said you are here to teach those who don't know German hence please support by speaking in English, for which she denied. And again asked me to just call me on the number or register online. It was bad experience to see this sort of approach by the staff in a center which is sort of basis for Goethe Institut Name - Mr. Goethe. The center didn't have any Goethe Institute's own reception area nor any facility ambiance which was present in Goethe centers in India or Dubai. I went for admission to a course and they didn't even take me to a proper office to discuss, they spoke around the common office space area with no support in English. Didn't expect this from Goethe Frankfurt Center.

I have attended different online courses in Goethe Institute. They have freelance teachers, so when I have problem with the learning/teaching methods, I prefer to share with the teacher about these issues. But B2.2 course is the worse. The teacher is not open for feedbacks and when I share my expectations with her, she only told me that: go and tell to the office. I do not chance anything

Ich habe einen A1 Deutschkurs vor Ort in Frankfurt für meinen Freund gebucht. Er ist franzose und spricht kein Englisch. Bevor ich den Kurs gebucht hatte, habe ich beim Goethe Institut angerufen und gefragt ob die Lehrer Englisch sprechen während dem Kurs. Es wurde mir versichert dass es nicht der Fall sei. Mein Freund hat den Kurs besucht und konnte sehr schlecht mitarbeiten, da die Lehrer immer wieder auf Englisch alles erklärt haben. Hätten wir das im Voraus gewusst hätten wir nicht so viel Geld dafür ausgegeben. Wir sind über die falsche Aussage sehr enttäuscht und haben nicht das Gefühl, dass mein Freund so viel aus dem Kurs mitnehmen konnte.I booked an A1 German course on site in Frankfurt for my boyfriend. He is French and does not speak English. Before I booked the course, I called the Goethe Institut and asked if the teachers will speak English during the course. I was assured that they would not. My boyfriend attended the course and had a hard time participating because the teachers kept explaining everything in English. If we had known this in advance, we would not have spent so much money on this class. We are very disappointed with the false statement and do not feel that my friend was able to get that much out of the course.

The institut is very famous. They conduct the goethe examination. Currently they are in a temporary building near hauptbahnhof.

Dieses ‚Goethe-Institut‘ soll das Aushängeschild Deutschlands sein? In der Filiale Frankfurt (eigentlich ist es nur ein angemieteter Raum in einem [schlechten] co-working space) gibt es: keine Bibliothek, keine Küche für Teilnehmer, keine ausreichend großen Räume, keine ausreichende Belüftung oder gar eine Klimaanlage. Ich habe den Eindruck, dass hier unter dem (ehemals) renommierten Namen ‚Goethe-Institut‘ nicht viel Wert auf angenehme Lernatmosphäre gelegt wird.

Sehr nette Mitarbeitern
