Bahnhof Mettingen

From here, the local train society - consisting of volunteers - organize rides with an old steam train from the early 1900s. They are an extremely friendly and passionate group of people and the ride from Osnabrück to Mettingen has been absolutely wonderful!The prices for the ride were more than fair and there was even a small restaurant on board - also with solid prices. In addition, you can ask the staff about a lot of railroad related things and they can explain much of the stuff in detail to you which has been very fun.If you ever get the chance to make this trip, definitely take it!
