This guest house is superb. A little bit walk from Zeiss Work but the rooms are good, with kitchen and private bathrooms. Only international researchers are accommodated here.

I guess the cheapest accommodation that you will find in jena. Fully furnished room including cutleries. They provide you bed pillow, duvet, bed sheets, bathroom and kitchen towels and they clean them for you twice a month. There is laundry and dryer facility at the basement which is free of charge. The only downside is the location. The nearest bus stop is 10- 12 mins down hill from the accommodation.

The internet here is really really poor. The speed of wifi is not more than 200KB/s in the most of time. You can not watch a video fluently. The only star is for the friendly staff.

Very nice and cozy rooms with kitchen and washroom. The rooms are furnished with bed, chairs tables, wardrobe and fridge. The room has an attached kitchen which has a lot of utensils and dishes and two cooking stoves. You probably won't need to bring your own utensils unless you want a pressure cooker. The guesthouse house provides you with clean bed sheets and towels twice a month. You also get your own mail box. The rooms also have wifi and tv. There is a small balcony too. The guest house also has a laundry room to wash your clothes.

Good place to start your life in Jena, as there is everything in apartment except lift. Major drawback is that there is no public tranport nearby. Better is stay in apartment for some time and start finding another place according to your choice.

it's a cheap , cozy and quiet guest house , but very far and hard to public transportation.مهمانسرای دانشگاهی بسیار ارزان و آرام و راحت ، اما بسیار مسیر دشوار و دوری به حمل و نقل عمومی دارد.

Nice apartments with awesome facilities as fast internet, free use of laundry facilities. The only pet peeve is that it's quite far from the nearest bus station and supermarket.

This place is a very good option to start with Jena, the only drawback is that the public transportation does not cover the neighbourhood, you have to walk up the hill about 13 min from the nearest bus station which is not very; but considering that the nearest supermarket is about 15 mins walking distance away, that can be a bit hard walking up with full bags.
