Bathrooms and toilets were perfectly Clean, room as wellShared spaces could require some recamping.Service was OK but nothing to write Home about.Big thank you again to the cleaning staff!

Zimmer 4 ist toll, wenn man zum Duschen ins 1. OG geht. Wir wollten 2 Nächte bleiben, dazu mussten wir umziehen mitsamt der Bettwäsche...Sonst sehr sauber, runde Edelstahlduschkabinen, große Aufenthaltsräume, Küche...Zentral am Schwabentor gelegen.

I didn't find it really nice. Noisy rooms (not sound proof and squeaky floors), beds too soft and not really friendly atmosphere between the travellers there. Maybe because a high percentage of guests were more looking for a permanent flat and job in Freiburg than travelling Europe.

Sehr schönes Hostel mit sehr guter Lage (Nähe zur Altstadt, als auch zur Natur (Hügel, Wiesen, Fluss #Nie einsam an der Dreisam). Die Leute an der Rezeption sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.Es bietet alles notwendige (Geschirr, Herd, Toiletten und sehr innovative Duschen), sowie darüber hinaus (Billiard Tischtennis, Hängematte...).Dafür ist der Preis auch sehr human.Besuche es gerne wieder, falls ich nochmal vorbeikommen sollte.

Nice hostel, clean. Friendly stuff. Very expensive though for no service.. we paid 90 per night for a double room. Although you get shared bathroom and toilet for this money, spread bedsheets yourself and so on. But location and design is lovely. 5 mins to city center. They have a hammock in the hall. Also bike racks are available.

Die Lage ist wirklich gut. Die Preise sind voll in Ordnung, aber- Webseite hat zu wenige und wiedersprüchliche Informationen- Der Charme ist schon sehr alternativ und etwas schmuddelig. Muss man mögen.- Der Fußboden knarrt sehr laut. Guter Schlaf ist hier nur schwer möglich.- Das Personal ist zwar freundlich, aber etwas planlos.- Etwas Farbe und liebe zum Detail fehlt. Irgendwie nicht zu Ende gedacht. Vielleicht auch einfach nicht meine Art von Wohlfühl Hostel.

A great location, with a Biergarten close by just a short walk up the hill. The rooms were very warm because of the summer heat, however you are only sleeping there. Beds are comfy and staff are very nice, the walk into town is not too far, and transport is very close by.

Black Forest Hostel
It’s an independent hostel and you can really feel it in the spirit of how it’s run. There’s a huge difference in my experience in staying here and in regular corporate hostels. Everyone was so nice and there was a real backpacker spirit all around. What was especially nice for me was to sleep in a real bed and not a bunk bed! Plus they make everyone a complimentary cup of strong coffee in the mornings. Thank you!!

Near Stadtbahn Linie1, and other stops so I would say the location is awesome! And the environment was clean and full equipped. There's kitchen and living room with piano, which I love the most.

I really enjoyed staying in this hostel. The people are all so friendly and the vibes are very inviting and laidback. 10/10 would recommend.
