Dorchens Pension und Hofladen

Ich habe mit meinem Enkel während einer Radtour übernachtet. DIe Unterkunft ist einfach und gut. Die Wirtin war sehr freundlich und ging auf unsere Wünsche ein. Einfach und gut

-überteuert (für 65€ im DZ erwarte ich mehr als eine Matratze auf dem Boden-nicht sauber, an jeder Ecke waren Spinnenweben-am Telefon sehr unfreundlich-Frühstück war auch nicht sehr erfeulich-eine ordentliche Rechnung gab es auch nicht, auch nicht nach mehrmalige Nachfrage, es wird einfach aufgelegt. UNMÖGLICHÜberhaupt nicht zu empfehlen.Verstehe gar nicht wie meine Vorgängerin so zufrieden war, sie war wohl in einer anderen Pension.

Unfreundlich und unkommbeten

Nach Inaugenscheinnahme sofort Abstand genommen. Alles etwas verwahrlost und schmudellig. Zum Glück etwas weiter weg ein nettes Hotel (City Hotel Pension) in der Großen Gartenstr. gefunden.Nun muss ich noch anrufen und absagen.

I don't usually write reviews of the places I visit, but this time I have to make an exception. I stayed at the pension for one night and there are some things that need mentioning and I'll try to keep them as objective as possible:Positives:- The pension is located in a place with lots of greenery. The place we stayed at had a half-panoramic view of the outside and one could have some drinks and really enjoy the view. The living area was spacious and wonderful.- The owner seemed to be a friendly person. She answered our questions and even offered us breakfast.Negatives:- Lots of greenery means lots of bugs, bees and flies in summer. One will likely discover some insects that they didn't even know existed before if they leave the windows on for some time especially at night. This is of course not something one can control.- However, what can be controlled is the cleanliness of the pension. It was really lacking especially when it comes to chairs, light switches and under the beds. There is so much dust and cobweb under the beds and some corners that one may think it wasn't touched for a very long time.- I believe the most negative aspect of the pension was the quality of sleep I had. Apart from subconsciously knowing that there are probably some spiders crawling under the bed, the bed itself was very uncomfortable. It was a metal bed that made some noises when you moved around too much and had an uneven surface that made sleeping on it a bit awkward. Unfortunately I expected the bed quality to be one of the highest priorities for a pension, but this was definitely not the case here. Ironically there is a massive 4K TV and leather couches in the living room so I guess the budget should have been distributed better.- What finalised my decision to write this review was as I was laying in bed trying to sleep I heard loud crawling noises coming from the sealing. I genuinely hope it's not mice or something because that is certainly not the type of thing a travelling person would want to hear after midnight while attempting to sleep.One may ask why I didn't change my place for the night. Well, it was too late to do so. I had places to be the next day and I reckoned it was more suitable to not change.As I mentioned in the beginning of my review I don't mean to be intentionally mean to any place. This was my experience with the Dorchens Pension and it may differ from person to person, however, I would advise other travellers to avoid this place until it improves its beds and cleanliness. It's such a shame because the keeper lady seems to be friendly and doesn't have bad intentions. As far as I understood she is the only one looking after the place and it is apparent that some big changes need to be made to receive any more stars from me. I wish the best of luck for this place!
