Very bad experience.I had to buy a car urgently in Jan. 2021. My husband and I drove from Luxemburg to Rüsselsheim (about 220km one way) to look at a VW Golf and then were told due to covid regulation a trial drive is not allowed (I was not informed about this on the phone when I made the appointment). We noticed that there was a crack on the windshield. I still bought this car as the car dealer promised to get the windshield changed before delivery. When I got the car delivered, the wind shield looks OK, no visible damage on it.But just after about three weeks with a few km driving, the wind shield cracked after a very cold night. I called the car dealer, he asked me to get to a garage or workshop nearby to check if it’s stone hit. If it’s stone hit, that’s my own issue, if not, he will get back to the manufacture to claim. I therefore went to two different VW shops, and one professional car glass workshop in Luxemburg. All of them checked and confirmed that the crack is not caused by a stone hit. Meanwhile, the crack got much longer.I got back to the car dealer, with a written confirmation from the car glass shop in Luxemburg. The car dealer said that the workshop who replaced the wind shield still want to check it themselves. I had to take a day off to drive to Rüsselsheim again.An one eye blind man from a workshop called Glasiro looked at the crack with a magnifying glass, and he claimed that it’s caused by stone hit and marked the point out. He said even he’s blind, he can see it. But I still can’t see or feel the stone hit point. He asked two people passing by to confirm what he said. Those two people had 2 seconds look at the marked point and said yes. The one eye blind man said one of these two people passing by was from TÜV. There is indeed a TÜV Nord next door. They know each other’s name.I wanted to have a look at the invoice for replacement of the wind shield, but the car dealer doesn’t want to provide. The car dealer said the best he could do is to reimburse me 100 EUR, but I must replace the wind shield again at the workshop Glsiro and pay the rest about 500 EUR. Or I can still claim with an inspection report from a professional surveyor, but I must bear the costs myself, and the garage will also ask for an inspection on their side. So, what’s the point for me to spend 500 EUR and extra time to get the wind shield replaced again by a workshop far from my home, and not reliable for me? Or spend another few hundred EUR to have an inspection report, which will be denied by the workshop Glasiro anyways?? I spent more than enough time on this, no time to drive around over and over.Right before I left Rüsselsheim, I passed by a Mercedes Benz workshop in the same street, even carrying a different brand, the mechanic there checked the crack, especially on the marked point. He said it’s not a stone hit, but stress crack. And the stress crack could also happen from the sides of the wind shield and after quite some while after assembling (the one eye blind man said the stress crack happens only from top or bottom of the wind shield or right after assembling).I just hope this crack is the only issue I have to face with this car.

Ich habe mein Pkw dort zu einem guten Preis gekauft, den Wagen direkt in einer guten Werkstatt checken lassen und es ist alles in Ordnung. Der Verkäufer war auch sehr nett und hatte den Vorgang zum Autokauf inklusive TÜV sehr schnell abgewickelt. Er hatte mir den Wagen nach drei Tagen bis vor die Haustür gebracht.
