Somewhat entertaining despite having a hard time getting timely service.

Vehicle inspection is fast and friendly

Had an appointment and still waited 1.5 hours past my appointment time.I called to verify I did not need to bring anything to update my insurance on my registration. I asked if they could make sure that everything would be fine for my appointment. They declined to check with a clerk and that I would have to come in for my appointment. They informed me it wasn’t necessary to bring anything as long as the white cards were sent over which they were.The clerk was not helpful and said she couldn’t do anything for me at this time. Complete waste of my time. This facility has inconvenienced me and many service members time and time again. They are always late and hardly ever fix any issues at hand. They are a waste of government funds.

A few things to note:-Some days the service is great and friendly, other days it’s meh. Depends partially on who you get and how prepared you are for whatever you’re there for. Melanie was super helpful-They are closed on US and German Holidays, as well as the last day of the month every month.-I’ve only really had issues trying to set up an appointment online for the inspection, but both the inspection side and the registration side do walk-ins, so that is nice.-Yes, inspection and registration are separate, yes it’s a hassle, it’s not that big of a deal though. If you’re on top of your stuff you should be in and out in 30 minutes or less.-Yes you have to pay for registration just like in the states- $45 for 1 year and $90 for 2 years.

Had a vehicle inspection appointment today. I was in and out in under 20 minutes. The staff was friendly enough. They aren't trying to be your buddy, but were still pleasant. This is typical of the service that i get each time I go. Sometimes it's not quite as good, but this review is based on the service I received today and strictly related to inspection - not registration. I will review that separately after my registration renewal appointment.The sign for the inspection line states that service is by appointment only. I'm not sure how recent this change is or if it is strictly adhered to. I will say I'm not a fan of that policy, but I can understand why they feell it is necessary.

The first thing they do is look for a way to kick you out after reviewing your documents. Website does not do a good job of stating what documents are necessary

Horrible customer service. Very unhelpful. If you can manage to get someone on the phone they wont be able to answer your question. They won't honor legal documents like power of attorney or special power of attorney. Absolutely ridiculous.

I called the vehicle registration and they helped me right away. Kapaun would not even answer their phone

Way nicer and more understanding than I anticipated Only thing I will say is all these licenses licenses registrations everything should be things should be combined together or at least set up in a way that you can have an appointment and go straight into the next the next thing no I have to make several different appointments
