Language Gym

I have been a student at Language Gym with Peter and Katharina for a year. I went from speaking basic german and having problems with grammar (Dat/Akk/Gen of course!), to being confidently conversational. Peter teaches using a totally different method of pattern hunting and using spider diagrams which I found really interesting. Having completed the grammar module, I went on to do the reading and writing modules until I felt confident enough to participate in Sprach Pals, a biweekly structured conversation group with a native german speaker (Katharina). I now live easily in Germany understanding nearly all german & able to complete all paperwork and my sons Eingewöhnung into a german Kita. I continue to do Sprach Pals once a week as I don't want my german skills to deteriorate due to coronas enforced lack of exposure!

Language Gym is SO helpful. I have had German classes for years, but I was never able to get the rules in my head to stick - so complicated. Peter has a developed a system that is clear and easy to follow, and I make so many fewer mistakes. I could not recommend this more, for beginners or for people like me who have never made the grammar stick.

I wish I found Peter's program sooner. After two years of German classes (including two back to back intensives at a leading school) I couldn't decorate an adjective and still couldn't understand how to use a reflexive pronoun or how to use the nominative and accusative on my own.Peter's method is unique, fun and most importantly, it works! The at-your-own pace 'Hammer the Grammar' course is the only course that has helped me learn the fundamentals. Cannot recommend this course enough.

Peter's Hammer the Grammar class does a fantastic job of clearing up common confusion with German grammar. I walked away from this class with the tools I needed to really understand, remember, and apply it. His system is unique to his school, and I highly recommend it.I've continued with Peter after Hammer the Grammar, and it has been a great experience. He is happy to tailor the program to what each student needs, in order to thrive and learn German in a fun and effective way!

I recommend Language Gym in learning German because of its unique method and smart way of teaching. It made all the subject and aspects of learning German systematic and logical. Compared to the other German course I tried before, Language Gym made learning the language faster and easier in a way you understand it in a broader sense. Peter is fun, approachable and never was a boring time in class. Learning German is intimidating at at least for me but It was a comfortable class to be in. I made friends with other moms who had the same goal as mine, learning and making sure our kids had fun too playing together. I guess whats most important as well is the location, time and company that allows us mothers to take our kids to class and for them to socialize as well. :)

Peter is a very good teacher and I have made a lot of progress thanks to his special way of teaching. I can now enjoy reading German without being afraid of grammar.I can only recommend his classes, especially as you can bring your children with you.Book now without hesitation!

Language Gym is the perfect experience for anyone who has tried the big German schools and despaired. It is a fun way to learn and most importantly, will get you talking in jig time. The classes are smaller, the meetups are flexible and the methods are suited to the individual. I was in Germany for 3 years and had given up on Learning between work, kids and other stuff, I had little and less energy for the task. Language Gym reinvigorated my will to learn.

I recommend Language Gym especially for someone who has been learning German for a long time (like me) but has never found a way to efficiently learn grammar and apply it in everyday speech. I have been struggling with various topics like adjective declensions and prepositions and language gym is explaining these in very pragmatic way. Thank you Peter for making learning German fun :)

Best German training I have ever experienced. I am not able to sit in a class room and just read a book to absorb the information. That's why Language Gym offers something different and I loved learning the patterns. Peter is a genius and a cool dude! Highly recommend it.
