Another Country -Bookshop

Super friendly staff on a Saturday afternoon and a really cool concept (where you can bring the books back for credit). I’ll definitely come back here in future.

The story of the owner and her wish to keep the books but still let curious readers enjoy them, and how that shaped how the store functions is amazing. Really nice people continuing the legacy. Will visit again on future Berlin-trips

Gute Auswahl an Fachbüchern

Süßer Buchladen, war mir aber etwas zu durcheinander. Besser etwas Zeit mitbringen zum Stöbern.

This is a special bookshop and you might love or hate it. It's quite messy. In some places there is an order in the books, in others they are piled in towers waiting to fall. If you have got time and enjoy searching it's a great place to be!

Selection leaves something to be desired, a little disorganized, smoky basement, dirty dishes.Die Auswahl lässt etwas zu wunschen übrig, bisschen durcheinandergebracht, verrauchter Keller, schmutzige Geschirre.

So many books. In English. If I go missing check this place first.

A place shockfull of used english books. I am sure you can find a lot of gems here. The room in the back is categorized after subject. Bags of books everywhere, like in a junk yard. It was extremely messy when I was there and I am not sure if it always looks like that. I was there on a monday right after it had opened for the day. Nothing was cleaned from whatever event had been going on in the weekend . Empty wine bottles everywhere, ashtrays full of cig butts and ash, it reeled of smoke. Not sure how to grade the shop. I love indie shops and I love the concept of library/shop/events/book club but this place made me want to go and take a shower afterwards. Sadly. I had read reviews here that called the place cozy and charming so i got really disappointed.

An...odd place. Empty bottles and piles of books everywhere. The shelves are organized after a fashion, but many of the books are for borrowing only. It's like walking into a messy person's house whose door is unlocked, and the owner is somehow obliged to let you in but does so reluctantly--until getting to know you. Then! Buckle up for some good conversation.
