Worst airline that I have ever travelled with.Bought a business class ticket from Glasgow to Hong Kong. Upon checking in at the Glasgow airport in Scotland I was told my seat allocation on the flight from Frankfurt to Hong Kong was on standby as they have not finalised their flight details yet.Got to Frankfurt, in the lounge I was once again told that it's still on standby, and that I was the only passenger on standby so it wouldn't be a problem as they were sure that not everyone would show up.Got to the gate an hour before take off, there were apparently 30 business class passengers who has been put on standby because they overbooked their flight/had to change to a smaller aircraft(I got mixed signals from their staff) - by 30 passengers in business class?? Seriously?? I was then told that I'd either be given a premium economy/economy seat, or be sent to a hotel to board a flight 24 hours later. I chose to get on the same flight with premium economy and was assured that I'd be given a refund if I contact Customer Service afterwards. Several people decided to fight for a refund on the spot before entering the gates but as I thought it was obvious that I needed a refund, I could just do it when I get home. In addition, while I was chatting to the ladies at the gate about how they had to deal with so many angry passengers, they remarked that it was fine, and that they were used to similar situations every day. Just how often does Lufthansa overbook their flights??2 days later, several emails back and forth, they told me that 'Lufthansa is not responsible or liable' for the fact that their flight was overbooked leading to my seat being downgraded. I'm sorry.... what?!?!Needless to say, AVOID LUFTHANSA!!!

Im Fokus der Airline stehen nur noch Gewinne, keine Kunden*innen. Das merkt man an jeder Stelle. Würde ich als Vielflieger anfangen, alle Verfehlungen aufzuschreiben, wäre ich stundenlang beschäftigt. Der einzige Grund warum ich Lufthansa fliege, ist das Quasi-Monopol, das die Airline mittlerweile hat. Ich hoffe durch neue Technologien, wird Lufthansa in wenigen Jahren von neuen Anbietern massiv Marktanteile verlieren. Ich hätte nie gedacht dies mal sagen zu müssen, aber ich fliege mittlerweile sogar lieber mit Easyjet.

Dear Sir or Madame!I kindly ask you to pay attention to my letter and clear up the situation in which, due to the incompetence of your employees, I was not allowed on the Frankfurt-Cancun flight on 12/22/22.I have a Russian passport, a permanent residence card in Bulgaria, an electronic certificate for entry into Mexico, and a fully paid hotel for one month in Cancun, and a return ticket as well.All my documents were checked at the passport control of Bulgaria, and i came to Frankfurt from Sofia.For the transit through Frankfurt, I do not need a Schengen visa and I can legally stay in the transit zone for 24 hours.From October 2022, holders of Russian passports do not need a visa to enter Mexico,only an electronic certificate is sufficient, but unfortunately, Lufthansa co-workers do not know the laws.I tried to show information from the website of the Mexican embassy, ​​but they did not even look. Used to fly regularly and it was one of the best airlines in the world. Recently, they have become like Ryanair. Last trip, 4 flights, each delayed, the last one cancelled. Service terrible, their chat function is a frustrating joke.

I had ordered vegan meals, but when the flight was cancelled and subsequently rebooked.the request did not follow on the new flight. I ended up on a 9:30 hour flight without anything to eat.I will add that this was in business class.Their answer was simply this:We sincerely regret that you did not receive a meal on your flight to destination. For us, food and beverages are just as an essential part of quality on board service as they are for you. Although this should never occur, an error in the service chain resulted in an insufficient number of meals being loaded onto your flight. We sincerely apologize for this situation and hope that our cabin crew did their best to compensate this frustrating situation for you by any means possible.

Ich hatte für den 21.01 einen Flug von Nürnberg nach Frankfurt und Frankfurt nach Nürnberg gebucht. Als ich bereits am Flughafen war, wurde mitgeteilt, dass der Flug von Frankfurt nach Nürnberg storniert ist. In einem 55 minütigen Gespräch wurde der Flug auf den 22.01 umgebucht. Zudem wurde zugesichert, dass die Taxikosten für die Rück- und Hinfahrt zum Flughafen + Hotelkosten erstattet werden. Nun weigert sich Lufthansa die telefonisch zugesicherten Taxikosten (Hotel wurde nicht in Anspruch genommen) zu übernehmen. Ein Gesprächsprotokoll liegt Lufthansa vor. Zudem wurde unter Bezug auf das Wetter die nach EU-Fluggastrechteverordnung fälligen 250€ verweigert.Lügen am Telefon und danach Gespräch verweigern ist inakzeptabel für ein ehemaliges Vorzeigeunternehmen.

rubbish airlinesThe flight departed late. When the flight landed, I expect the airlines staff to let passengers with a connecting flight to get off first. However, no effort was made to do so. The staff seemed agitated for some reason and were impolite to the passengers. My connection flight go missed and I was given voucher to stay in a hotel 30 miles away from the airport. The hotel had no arrangements in place for dinner or the next day breakfast. Even the airline companies in developing countries are more competent these days.

You might as well travel with a budget company as Luftansa treats you like cattle at the VIP price. They can't even do the minimum, even when hours late only offer a tiny bottle of water as compensation. Avoid at all costs!

Ich wollte von Frankfurt nach Porto fliegen und ein Fahrrad mitnehmen. Es fängt schon damit an, dass es immer noch nicht möglich ist, diese Art der Buchung komplett Online zu erledigen. Die Telefonleitung zum Callcenter hat eine Sprachqualität wie in den 70'er. In radebrechenden Deutsch wurde mir erklärt, ich könnte das Rad unverpackt abgeben. Bei der Gepäckaufgabe wollte ich das Rad in einer dünnen Tasche abgeben. Die sehr unfreundliche Damen teilte mir mit, das das nicht ginge nur Hartschale und verweigerte die Annahme.Damit waren 3 Wochen Radurlaub und 600€ perdu, Mein Anwalt kümmert sich..

Auch mit Verspätung (was heutzutage ja schon normal ist) kann ich Lufthansa nur weiterempfehlen. Gepäck war günstiger als bei so manchen Billigairlines und man bekommt im Flugzeug gratis Schokolade+Wasser. Viel Beinfreiheit.
